After the object takeover took place in the Ardèche in December and we spent weeks packing boxes, the move from Germany to France took place in the last days.

Thanks to diligent helpers and the professional moving company ALAN from Reutlingen, we have arrived well in Le Portier. In the old apartment, all the fully packed boxes and furniture with plants were loaded into a truck with trailer within one day.

24 hours later and 800 km further, the truck drives into the courtyard in Le Portier. Together with two friendly helpers from the village, the truck is unloaded in bright sunshine and the trailer is unloaded the next day. The large barn is filled with tool boxes, the future holiday apartment is temporarily filled with houseplants and the rooms in the house are filled with moving boxes. Sometimes exceptional buildings require a change of mind and so shelves and cabinet doors are also lifted from the loading area directly into the first floor.

After the house has been heated to acceptable temperatures, the first household appliances are connected and the internet is available, it is time to unpack the boxes and settle into the new environment.

Finally, the move is a special challenge, especially for the cat lady Frieda. She explores the whole house and attentively observes the surroundings.

A dream comes true and an exciting chapter begins.
